Lubrication
Subsequent to cleaning a window and allowed it to dry thoroughly, the last step is to apply a light lubricant to the moving components and any glides or slides. The lubrication helps the components move freely but also keeps out moisture and helps prevent rust and corrosion. Be mindful not to use too much or it can attract dust and dirt. A silicon or light petroleum lubricant works well.
