By · Comments
It is well worth your time to know the rules of your club before you even load your clubs to avoid either looking stupid or being averted for having on improper clothing. For the public courses, the dress codes are usually a little more lenient.
Earlier, the uniform of the golfer was inflexible and itchy wool, all over the year, with tremendously less breath ability and ease of movement. And, back then, it was even shoddier for the few females who played the game; it was obligatory for them to wear full skirts, blouses right up to their chins and big hats. No doubt golf took so long to become popular among the normal public! Now, there are superior materials, with better breath ability and ease. Closer cut clothing permits for better range of movement, and enhanced overall swing.
Golf can be pricey enough without adding the clothing into the mix. Do not get over-involved in dressing a particular manner if it is actually not essential to do so. If there is not a rule in club compelling you to do so, do not feel compelled to purchase many "golf pants" or other related wear. Be cautious about the other golfers and get a normal idea of what everyone is wearing. This will help you to understand of what is suitable and standard at this golf course. Wear the clothing which fits your body, your pocket size and your personal tastes. Remember many things however:
1) Cotton is one of the best materials for summer month play. It is breathable, soft and will shield against chafing, while considering sweat evaporation.
2) Lighter colors reflect more of the sun's light, thus keeping you cooler too.
3) If you may afford it, there are tops that are treating to block the sun's rays and also to put off flying pests.
4) Keep fit in mind also: too stretched and you will not be comfy, and risk skin breakdown. Too loose and you may impede your own play.
Put on what looks good, fits well and which will give you a feeling of real golfer.
